PTT early80sRF

Set in a frosty wet morning in Jan 1981 you are driving a Railfreight Mixed Goods from Newtown on Ayr to Stranraer Yard driving conditions are difficult so don’t spare the sand especially on the steep inclines, you may encounter slight waiting times at the junction as you leave Ayr & the double track section waiting on the 6:55 ex Stranraer to Glasgow but this will be 2 or 3 Mins. Maximum & another slight wait will be experienced at Barrhill (try & plan to arrive at there between 09:14 – 09:20) & your wait again should be again just 2-3Mins. the activity will end when you enter Stranraer Yard

PTT FISH

PTT_A FISH_OUT OF WATER ON A WET SUNDAY MORNING An Activity for Vern Moorehouse's Stranraer to Ayr Route This is set on Sunday 16th Sept 2007 & recreate a Journey me & my partner Marion undertook on the stated date & the title is inspired by the surprise I got when we entered the station from the Stena port having arrived on the ex 7:35 from Belfast to see a 156 DMU not in the normal Scotrail or S.P.T. livery but in " Central Train Livery" a real Fish out of water . The activity tries to recreates the journey made on that day but with very little passing traffic I have allowed a bit of poetic licence on that point just to make this a bit more interesting , But the torrential rain is 100% accurate of the conditions of the morning in question, the rain was so bad when we arrived in Ayr the station concourse was flooded.
